This position is responsible for providing residential and non-residential domestic violence and sexual assault clients with direct case services including advocacy, support, goal setting, assistance in identifying options, evaluation of needs and information, and making necessary community linkages to support their self-sufficiency goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, core competencies, and/or physical required. Completion of the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Counselor training per Evidence Code 1035.2-1035.4 and 1037.1 may be required. California Victim Witness Entry Level Advocate Training may be required within one year of employment. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Victimology, or related field.
▪ Two years’ experience in social services, criminal justice, social work, or a related field.
Appointment will be contingent upon passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen, fingerprint clearance, and reference checks, pre-employment physical, immunization requirement, and TB test is required for Head Start funded positions.
