Emergency Child Care Bridge Program for Foster Children

Goals of the bridge program

Services Provided by the program

Emergency child
care voucher

Eligible Foster Families may receive a time-limited child care voucher or payment to help pay for child care costs for foster children birth through age 12, children with exceptional needs and severely disabled children up to the age of 21.

Trauma Informed Care and Coaching

The Child Care Navigator will provide trauma-informed care training and coaching to child care providers working with children, and children of parenting youth in the foster care system who have experienced trauma.

What is Trauma-Informed care?

Trauma-informed care is understanding the impact of childhood trauma to be able to create a healthy, psychological and emotional safe atmosphere for a child(ren) who have experienced trauma.
