Provider Services Associate

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance to childcare providers in accordance with State and Federal funding terms and conditions of various Alternative Payment Program contracts and Resource & Referral related; along with administrative support to the Departmental personnel and the Program Manager. QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
▪ Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work or a related field and one year’s experience in data processing and increasing responsibility in clerical
or secretarial area. OR
▪ High School Diploma or GED and three years’ experience in data processing and increasing responsibility in clerical or secretarial area.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATES/PERMITS:
▪ Valid California Driver’s License

PROGRAM DUTIES:
▪ Attends to all walk-in clients, telephone and internet inquiries in a professional manner; effectively route calls and messages to appropriate staff.
▪ Prepares reports and printouts for funding sources and office staff.
▪ Creates and uses statistical and data collection forms.
▪ Assists the immediate supervisor with reports, correspondence and procurements.
▪ Maintains office equipment and facilities; perform routine maintenance and contact repair personnel as needed.
▪ Performs a variety of office administrative tasks such as purchasing requisitions; ordering materials and supplies; makes accurate mathematical calculations and performs general accounting operations.
▪ Assists with copying, typing, mailing, sorting, filing of program forms and documents as needed; sorts and distributes mail received by departmental staff.


Appointment will be contingent upon passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen, fingerprint clearance, and reference checks, pre-employment physical, immunization requirement, and TB test is required for Head Start funded positions.
